Problem Solving

When I was doing the sphere on my escalator that must eventually become the "Earth" I met quite a nasty problem. I found out that when you add a shape to the canvas it comes as an entirely new layer and it comes with an icon that looks like a rectangle. This marks the layer that the shape is on.

The problem comes when I try to work on other layers but I couldn't because a window came up a few times asking me to rasterise the layer but when I did so my whole work turned black. I tryed few times but the same thing happened, so I decided to go to layers options and rasterise it from there and it worked.

Since we change rooms I expect it is normal for a problem to come along connected with settings and other. My problem this time was that I was using an old Photoshop ( Photoshop cs6) which meant I couldn't use tools and change settings that I could use with Photoshop CC 2018. With the old photoshop I could make the bottom layer with less opacity to look more orange than yellow. On the new Photoshop I could do that when adding less pressure on the graphic tablet. So to fix that I searched for the new version of the software on my computer.

I had two more problems connected with settings. When to add colours a pink line appeared that created an effect of a following, pink tail. After playing with settings I realised that this was happening because the smoothing was on 100%, so I decreased it until it completely disappeared.

I had problem on after effects regarding the file I was working on. In order to work with your original file I have to have it in the same folder as the After effect file, but I didn't do that so I kept having problems with my After Effects file. Now I got all my files in one folder so I hope there is not going to be further problem.

Today I rendered my After Effects file. To do that I had to go to Adobe Media Encoder as I could no do that on After effects because the new version does not support the H.264 format.

When the rendering was done I clicked to preview the video. When the video started I noticed that all 3 texts were missing as well as the spotlight I had added at the end of the poster. So this meant that I was left with the stars only.

I tried to render the file few times but the same thing was happening and since I was running out of time I had to leave it as it is.
